5 Things You Need for the Perfect Friendsgiving

Confession: I'm not a big Thanksgiving person. Meaning, I'm not a traditional Thanksgiving person. Call me crazy, but it's not my favorite kind of food, so I've never been as excited about it as a lot of people. That is, until I got older + began hosting Friendsgiving. Why is Friendsgiving better than Thanksgiving, you ask? Cocktails, friends, food you actually want to eat...who wouldn't love that. While we're not hosting this year, I still wanted to share a few of my favorite tips for hosting the ultimate holiday event with your best friends.

1. Invitations

Kick off the whole event in style with cute invitations. It's so much more fun than sending a text or a Facebook invite and it also helps set the theme for the event before it even happens!

2. Fun Decor

This is where you really get to bring your creativity into play. Order some gorgeous local florals, or get your DIY on like this ombre pumpkin centerpiece from Oh Happy Day

3. Signature Cocktails

You'll want to have a variety of drinks for your pals to choose from, it's super fun to have one signature cocktail to commemorate the event. This apple pie moscow mule from The Cookie Rookie is delicious + festive!

4. Groovy tunes, man.

I said that in my April Ludgate voice, in case you couldn't tell. Create a playlist of all your favorite songs or grab one of these pre made ones directly from Spotify.

5. Parting Gifts

You're going to have leftovers. Lots + lots of leftovers. Why not send your guests off with a cute party favor like these colorful individual pie slice boxes? It's a win-win for everyone!

These are just a few of the things that make up a great Friendsgiving, but the most important thing is the people who fill up your home. I hope you have a wonderful time celebrating with your loved ones, in whatever fashion you choose!
