New Year's Eve Grapefruit + Sage Champagne Cocktail

I've come to the conclusion that there's nothing more torturous than mixing up yummy cocktails and not being able to indulge in 3 or 4. But luckily for you I have this recipe memorized and can vouch for it's deliciousness, even in my preggo state.

When you think New Year's Eve, you automatically think champagne, right? My version has a bit more bite and (in my opinion) is a lot prettier than a regular ol' glass of champagne.

What you'll need:

1 large ruby red grapefruit, juiced and strained (about 4 oz)
1.5 oz of elderflower liqueur such as St. Germaine's
2 fresh sage leaves
4 oz of champagne or sparkling white wine
Grapefruit slices for garnish

In a cocktail shaker, add ice, grapefruit juice, elderflower liqueur and 1 sage leaf.
Shake ingredients until fully chilled.
Pour into a tumbler and top with champagne.
Garnish with remaining sage leaf and grapefruit slice

There you have it! You now have a fresh, sweet, delicate way to ring in the New Year!

Cheers and Happy New Year!
