Pork Chops with Lemon Thyme Cream Sauce

One of my favorite blogs is My Darling Lemon Thyme, which I was initially drawn to because of the ridiculously precious name. Lemon and thyme are such a delicious combination, especially when you add in a little decadence with a touch of cream and some wine!

What you'll need:

  • boneless sirloin pork chops
  • 3 TBSP butter
  • 1/2 C flour
  • 1/2 TSP garlic powder
  • 1 TSP lemon zest
  • 3 TBSP fresh lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 C dry white wine
  • 1/2 TSP thyme
  • 1/2 C heavy cream
  • salt and pepper

Heat 2 TBSP butter over medium heat.

Mix the flour, garlic powder, and salt and pepper in a bowl.

Dredge the pork chops through the mixture and shake off excess.

In your skillet, brown the pork chops on each side for about five minutes.
Remove the pork chops and set aside.
Add lemon juice, zest, garlic, wine and salt and pepper to the pan.
Cover and let cook for 15-20 minutes.

Remove the pork chops from the pan and set aside.
Increase the heat and add cream and remaining butter to the pan.
Let the mixture reduce until it resembles a thin gravy.

Drizzle sauce over pork chops and serve.
