Raspberry Mint Julep

I, Samantha Welker, am a bourbon lover. In fact, the elderly bartender at Chee Chee's calls me "Bulleit Baby", and I love it. Bulleit if it's Kentucky, Paddy's if it's Irish. Thanks to our wonderful friends, The Weeds, we are now proud owners of legit mint julep glasses. I think my favorite thing about getting married (aside from getting married) was all the fancy barware we got - mint juleps and moscow mules for days!

The perfect summer cocktail for a gal who loves whiskey. Sweet mint pairs perfectly with the tart raspberry to create a deliciously icy summer cocktail. Pin this raspberry mint julep recipe now + make later!

I actually am not a mint julep aficionado, but I have absolutely found my new favorite cocktail! So icy and delicious!

What You'll Need:

3 oz bourbon
1 oz mint simple syrup
3 mint leaves
3 raspberries, plus more for garnish
crushed ice

In a chilled julep glass, muddle raspberries, bourbon and mint syrup.

Gently clap mint leaves between your palms.
This will release the minty fresh oils.
Drop into julep glass.

Stir to combine.
Top with crushed ice and stir again.

Top with more crushed ice and garnish with raspberries and mint leaves.
